New Joomla Infographic Displays Joomla's Historic Growth

The first six years of Joomla have been illustrated in a new infographic created through the joint efforts of the Joomla Marketing team and Pawel Borowicz along with the CloudAccess.net team. The infographic is available for the Joomla community's public use.

Shanghai Hosts First JoomlaDay in China

The first JoomlaDay in China was held recently at the German Centre in Shanghai, a multi-use space that acts as a conference center and shared office space housing companies such as eBay. Hagen Graf reports that for "this first event 110 delegates registered and 80+ attended."

Windows Azure to Host BitNami WebPacks for Joomla!

In a recent blog post by BitNami, a new IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) offering was announced that has the potential to expand the Joomla user and developer base while making Joomla installations even quicker and easier than they currently are for some. The announcement states that, "In the very near future, we will be publishing two free images for Windows Azure, one focused on web development platforms and another with development environments."

The latest Joomla property to be released is called The Joomla! Events Site. This new website will be used to announce and report on Joomla events around the world. With this addition, the Joomla community will be able to more easily get information about Joomla!Day events, User Group meetings, conferences and more.
