The new version of Phoca Gallery, version 3.2.1, is designed specifically for use with Joomla 1.7 and 2.5. There are a number of fixes and enhancements in this latest version, including a new cURL option for connecting with Picasa and a new parameter for filtering Parent Category ID.

RSJoomla!, makers of extensions such as RSForm! Pro, RSBlog! and RSComments!, have published a new gallery offering described as, "a Joomla! rich media and image management extension that will allow your users to see slideshows with transition and lightbox effects, posted as specialized menu items, inside Joomla! Articles or in any third party components with the focus on image support."
