YooTheme's Widgetkit series just got that much better. Users could already use this power tool to quickly and easily ad widgets like Google Maps and dynamic photo galleries to their site. Now Widgetkit has been upgraded to include Responsive design rules. These easy to use widgets will now be automatically adjusted to fit the screens of whatever device is being used to view them. That's not the only update, though.

One of the most popular framework's for Joomla! templates is getting a major redesign. YooTheme has reworked their Warp tools to include Responsive design guidelines. This will allow templates based off of the upcoming Warp 6.2 design to instantly reformat their layout to best fit the type of device being used to view the content. A desktop will feature one layout while a tablet or smartphone will use another.

The latest template release by YooTheme continues their approach of big bold designs. The latest creation includes a large header area and comes in 8 styles.

YooTheme has released its latest theme which is called Subway.  The new template features 13 different styles and would be ideal for a blog website.

Yootheme has released their latest Joomla template, Revista Nueva, along with several updates to integrated tools. Revista Nueva is a news themed template with several color and module options. The template features a flexible layout, and according to the developers, "This theme is a right choice if you are looking for a clean and functional design with lots of options for easy layout customization."

The Alliance for Catholic Education, or ACE, was featured recently in the Joomla! Community Showcase for its creative use of some core Joomla features as well as the integration of third party resources. Ricky Austin, the organization’s Assistant Director, is listed as the creator of this multi-faceted solution that uses Joomla 1.7 to manage a network of 12 separate but very connected sites, all of which share one instance of Joomla and one database. With this method, they are able to maintain consistency visually throughout the network of independent websites, as well as share all of the features built into the single Joomla instance.
